Adobe makes a plugin SVG viewer. Note that Adobe has discontinued support as of 1/1/09; probably because svg competes with Flash. cheers, gary
It does not work in Vista either and, iirc, it won't work with IE8 and I'm not so sure about IE7. Or the same reason they don't support XHTML, whatever reason that is.
As far as I know, Doc, IE7+ on Vista supports svg. I have found it to be inconsistent, displaying some and not others. See also http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935575. Note that Vista sp1 fixes the described issue. cheers, gary
That fix is dated March or May of last year so it must be new. When I last tried it, before then, it didn't work at all and I read, elsewhere, it didn't work. In any case, you still need Adobe's plugin to make it work and their download page does not list Vista as one of the OSes it works on. I also read, elsewhere, that the plugin does not work with IE8 but haven't tried it myself. As you said above, Adobe drops support for it this month. Also, on the IEBlog, Microsoft stated they have no plans for SVG support in IE. All other browsers support SVG natively.
