Any suggestions on who to buy traffic from?

I see a lot of websites offering to sell you one form of traffic or another, from pop-up ads and contextual ads to interstitial ads.

I'm currently buying traffic from geobytes.com but I do not like the quality of the traffic.

Does anyone have any experience from these?

I was thinking about buying traffic for one of my affiliate blogs.

I have never done well buying traffic. I say create content for your site and submit it to Google as well as do some SEO for it. There is no shortcut that I have yet found to that.

Google Adwords is the most legitimate and truly works if you learn about it.

I don't know if you're planning to buy traffic for long, but if that's the case, I'd rather hire a SEO marketer, or learn it yourself.

You need to know two principles:

    * Let people know your site exist - exposure
    * Let the search engines think you are better than all other sites, even if you're not. :)

I appreciate the input but was just looking for feedback on anyone's experience with buying traffic.

    Sorry. I misunderstood.

I tried a few years back and got the same results as you. All untargeted traffic. So I switched to PPC and did much better. Never thought about buying it again, but am now interested in what others have experienced too.:)

depends what you mean by "buying" -- if you find someone who has a very targeted list (preferably buyers...) and is willing to share access details in exchange for money.... at the end of the day the best way to do this will be a JV deal -- where they email their list (as they already have the trust).

examples to look for is industry publications, magazines, ... they typically have a good/great relationship with their readers, so you can "buy" traffic from them. But really, it's not the traffic you're paying for, but rather the trust they have established.

We just started out on our own with a very unique and beneficial SIM ( system information management)program. We believe we have a Gold Mine, and we do have clients (large companies). Sales is our weak link, any help would be most appreciated I have not been here long enough to Post, I love this site! Thanks folks!

When I first started IM I bought traffic and well most of it was far to general. I think it would better serve you to have targeted visitors and in that case I suggest giving Google some good content. Good Luck

Well, you could try learning the IM basics first yourselves. With your backgrounds it would not take long at all. You have a head start over newbies in that you already know your product and how it will benefit companies. That is often the biggest hurdle to overcome. Next will be to learn how to do your keyword research. As you probably already know, everything on the net is keyword driven. You build your site around your keywords. In your case I would recommend putting up a professional site. Don't settle for anything less. You will want to definately set up some type of lead capture system. Based on your product type, this will be the most important part of your IM campaign. There are a few ways to do this too. You could set up a landing page focused on getting your leads. This is different from your website. When they sign up, redirect them to your web site. This scenario would be ideal for PPC campaigns.

And then of course you could always pay someone to do all of that for you. I doubt if it would be cheap.

    Hope this helps a little..
