I currently own many domains and each seems to have their ups and downs and I've narrowed down which keyword/ad source works best. However, I have one in particular that is generating double the hits of another domain and is earning next to nothing (and they both use adsense). The one not bringing in as much change as it could is www.semagallery.com. It is just a photo gallery of a popular annual convention. Does anyone have any suggestions as to another revenue generating source other than adsense for this site? Thanks
Try some of the big affiliate sites, Linkshare and similar for automotive products, books, things that appeal to rev heads. Amazon would be an easy one, but not overly profitable. Chitika might work, you can run it contextually now with Adsense as of the last Adsense TOS changes and as an ad format it might work better with your target demographic...ie, it might be newer to them and result in a higher CTR
I think it's not a matter of the type of advertising, but of the kind of traffic, i.e. visitors, you attract. And that depends on content. Thus, the question should be, how could the content be changed such as to get a different kind of visitors to this page.
I think in this case it is the type of advertising. SEMA is pretty specific. It is a car convention. The site, semagallery, is a photo gallery about that event. You can't far fall from the tree. So, I need to find a good advertising method that brings in relevant automotive ads. nnet, I registered for linkshare, but they seemed to not have many automotive ads. Same with chitika. They didn't have any. I liked chitika's eminimalls. Do you know of any other companies that offer something similar?
