I am planning to use DotNetNuke to create a plain html pages. Pls give me your suggestions abt DotNetNuke . Advance Thanks
Out the box it is semi-SEO friendly in the fact that you can set it to not use querystrings but the resultant URLs arent great (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/default.aspx?tabid=125 goes to http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/125/default.aspx) but we didnt find it too diffcult to write a new url rewriter to get more keywords into the addresses etc Reliable - it as reliable/ unreliable as most large scale freeware application - a good sign is that some of the big paid solution companies are now launching DNN modules (likewise charged for) Ads friendly - have to say the few sites we have written using DNN as our clients wanted an open source solution rather than our own havent used advertising as a revenue stream so havent tested this - can see no automatic reason as to why it would be bad nor that it would be difficult to write a DNN advertising module
I screwed up the login page. Now I am not able to log in from my website. I need to fix that in the MSSQL table. here is the link. http://tutorials.e-webtemplates.com.
I'm using it, but I know it only with the .aspx ending. I'm using it on: www.building-construction.co.za and forum.manufacturing-engineering.co.za There are several skins available to choose from. The product is highly SEO friendly, if you know how to use it correctly. Loading pages is a bit slower then html, but it is quite consistent. The big advantage of DNN is that it allows you to create and change pages quickly.
