    Hell peeps

Any good experience with directory affiliate programs ?
    e.g. Botw
    lobolinks
    v7n etc ???

I am thinking of monetizing my High traffic directories. :D

Also, are these programs genuine with correct stats ?

I have paid out some commissions to affiliates when they convert - I can't say that it is as successful as I would like.

I only pay out for accepted links

Here is a link to it - It has not been something I heavily promote, I actually just recently put the post up on it again. Some seo companies have made use of it and a few individuals.

Directory affiliate programs do n't convert well because fo two reasons

a)Directory is not hugely popular one

b)A visitor would always think about putting his link into a directory,he would weigh pro's and cons of it and such a visitor would be not visiting through a affiliate link from other directory they would be mostly visiting it from directory lists like www.web-directories.ws ,www.directorycritic.com

I tried one (none of the above) and didn't believe it was genuine so dropped it.

Those two lists you mention may provide traffic and submissions to free directories, not paid ones though.

An interesting topic, and not claiming to be any sort of expert, this was covered in a way in a similar post regarding directory owners working together, I do not know the success rate of these programs at the moment but I am willing to give them a go, but will be looking closely at the following first.

Is the directory one that i would recommend ? in that just because a directory has such a program does not for me qualify it for me to take my time to list it up, that directory must be run properly, and provide good service among many other factors.

If it meets the criteria set then i will take the time to list up and in doing so undertake to the best of my ability to promote it and doing so work with and form a beneficial outcome to both parties as best i can.

Happy to report any outcomes as i move forward and will list the directories mentioned as a trial but these still may be some time of before any results are seen as the directory is not ready for release or being promoted at this point.

I know v7n's affiliate program pays out their affiliates when some don't do that.

If you're looking for a good affiliate program I'd find it hard to believe that anyone is going to suggest a directory for that purpose and think that it's going to convert well. There are many other options out there that will yield a better ROI if you're seeking affiliate programs.

I believe the best way for you to monetize a high traffic free directory is to signup with affiliates from different pay directories. That way you still offer your free submissions but if someone who is already a directory submitter is slightly interested in some higher quality paid ones they can follow your affiliate links and hopefully earn a commission for you.

I launched the Bloggeries Blog Directory Affiliate Program about a month ago. It pays out a flat rate of $20US per accepted submission. Currently prices are $29.9 one-time or $49.99 a year for featured.

Another option is to just join clickbank or something. I'm using same software as Lobolinks; works well may still join clickbank.
