Any success story on purchasing traffic

    with cheap traffic sold here or on ebay for $1 per 3000 visits, anyone has benefited from such traffic?

    Traffic is not cheap!
    Just think about it.. if one can get good traffic that cheap why will people use google adwords?

    I tried it a while back, nothing great, just 1000 people who close the window within 5 seconds

    I wouldn't advice buying traffic, you usually get low quality traffic, which doesn't convert. Plus it will get you banned from advertising networks. The only real reason you would want to buy traffic is to boost your alexa ranking or to raise the price of a domain you are selling.
