Any Software for this?

I have been approached to create a directory which will require the directory to be broken down regionally.

There would be 15 different regions, each with separate links & content for each of the regions.

Anything that can easily be used to create this, or would PHPLinkDirectory handle it, just include 15 regional sections, and duplicate the SubCategories in each region?

    Comments greatly appreciated.

I'd go with phpLynx as it primarily is a business/regional directory software script. (See the phpLynx demo). The script is the best out there and offers by far the best support you'll ever find for a directory script. Oh, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg either:D

esyndicate can handle all the needs you posted. Support is also good.
The script is not encrypted. You have full access to all the files.

(as a side note - I wonder why phplynx doesn't have a link back to "Template World" which is required. The template they are using for their main site and their demo??? )

Access to code is great if your a coder, as with any script dog222 phpLynx allows you to change your design and layout.

phpLynx for your information is going open source to give the minority who like to play around with code the chance to do so. Me, I'd suggest concentrating on developing a directory using software you shouldn't need to to see the code for.

As a side answer, perhaps they paid for the privilege to have it removed or via membership? Or worse case scenario, and heaven forbid if this is the case, they've not replaced it when coding it into the phpLynx script, I'll address this straight away of course. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Again fyi, the ENTIRE phplynx.com site is phpLynx powered using what was a free template, shows you just how versatile the script is heh! :)

Back to the Original Post. All scripts here claim to be able to do what you want, and to a degree they can, but only phpLynx has the ability for you to do a three way search like Yell.com, ref: spider-mans post to you.

Wonder all you like dog222; no relation to the bounty hunter are ya! :D Rest assured if there has been an oversight it will be rectified, if there hasn't and all's well on the western front even better, either way it will certainly be dealt with. I'll consider updating you as and when I know.

PHPLD is good from my experience and from what I here from other webmasters. Its very customizable and you'll probably be able to achieve that with no problem.

I was tempted at reporting you for flaming and making totally unfounded allegations but instead I thought I'd make you look a complete fool.

We actually paid for membership with that great site which if you read the terms and conditions allows for removal of the attribute.

Question 3 of the faq states it quite clearly.

As I said, if there was any issue then it would be dealt with. The only issue I see is you making false allegations.

I will in this case accept an apology and suggest you get your facts right or do your homework next time, that way you'll avoid looking like a complete fool . ;)

I don't feel like a fool all little Jamie, so “don’t get your panties in a knot”
Funny it took you this long to get back to this.
Also funny that your great :) website can't use a unique template.

By the way, I don't believe in a minute you paid for those those rights. That template was in the "Free' downloads area, not the membership section.

There's rules on this forum that prevent me from telling you where to go on open forum so I sent you a p.m. Do yourself a favour. Toddle off and play in someone else's garden. I didn't have to answer to you I just felt that as you were so interested in trying to throw mud that couldn't stick I would. (I wonder who asked you to post those messages). Now run along there a good little child your clearly a jealous little thing.

Oh, for the record, we could have had any number of designers do a template, the purpose of using a free one and integrating it to work with the phpLynx script was to show the sheer versatility of it. ;)

You'd better run along now I just heard the dinner bell go.
