Hi I already know that if I convert my blog into a dofollow blog then I will get loads of spam comments and I will have to moderate wayyy toooo many comments... and I know that after I convert my blog to dofollow then I will get some extra promotion tooo... good but what are other disadvantage of this...will google kick me out? any SEO related disadvantages???
Why would Google kick you out? If you are selling links only then Google will kick you. If that were the case then DP would have also been kicked out long time ago. It is no-follow free and there are thousands of outbound links here on DP. When you turn your blog into a no-follow free blog, you'll get better traffic. That's what matters... at least to me
thanks will do it ASAP my blog has 400 RSS subscribers I sure it will jump after this will have to announce it everywhere though
I was currently convert my sites into no-follow free, but so far I didn't get too many spam comments BTW your blog has 400 RSS subscribers... wow, I only got no more than 50 at the top
I would like read more openion on this post. I want to know it too. My all website use no-follow now. I maybe change my strategy for get more traffic.
Well, because of it's do follow blog so the page value according to PR calculation would be sent to links on comments too. The result is your PageRank would go down. Absolutely, Google wouldn't kick you out for this. It just doesn't make sense if it does.
See there is no such things that dofollow is a negative thing for yr blog, for SEO point of view, the main thing is that to make a balance between you outbound and inbound links, they has to be like 60-40 or 50-50 ratio. I have all my blogs turned to Dofollow. and they surely bring much more traffic, as link builders looks for dofolow blogs. Check this out : Dofollow search engine Submit your blog if you have dofollow enabled, and increase your traffic.
Making it dofollow will cause spammers and people just looking for links to hit your site up with useless comments. make sure you have good spam detection software too. I get hundreds of spam comments daily

So you'll have to spend some time dealing with SPAM but if there is a slight chance of having better traffic that will convert well then what the heck... you have to do some work to earn some money. For me, monetizing a site is more important. If it needs a little work, I have no issue with that as long as I am getting more traffic and making some money out of it. More traffic means better rankings too because people start to link to your site. More traffic is a win-win situation. Never have I come across a single webmaster who doesn't like traffic
