any script that will collect products from a store website for use on mine?
    what i mean is.....
is there a script that will scan a website for its products and put into a file so i can import to my website?

so i can mark the price up a bit and resell them? so i dont have to manually do each item one by one?

You need to find someone who can built you a custom made script with will scrap other websites and import their data into CSV file (Excel) so you can upload the information into your website. You can also find a wholesaler or manufacturer who would be willing to dropship products you like for you to your customers. Those are some avenues you can look into to populate your website.

How about using vendio.com? you can put amazon products their and create your own store for free and not only that, It will also automatically post your item listings on ebay if you want to. And that makes it more profitable

I'm also very interested in this kind of script.

Manually listing products would be a pain in the rear. Also, guys, do you know of any forums devoted to dropshipping, or places where I can find reputable, or at least trusted dropshippers? I don't really want to have to resort to Amazon or something.

    Thanks!

Never thought of there being a script like that.....Sure would be nice. I always avoid adding more items, because it's so time consuming.

If you work with a trusted wholesaler, they will provide you with anything so you wouldn't need to scrape other websites. Scraping other sites content anyway won't do you any good in the long run.
Usually you receive an inventory file with all the information in xls format from the supplier. You can modify those data (product names, product descriptions, image source or image file path, PRICE etc.) as you like and then create a csv file that you import through your shop or even direct in mySql.

The big advantage of this is, you always will have an updated inventory file and won't take less of a risk of products being out of stock but still showing on your site as in stock.
Like I said before, if you think you can make some big money just by scraping other shop's sites, you will not be happy in the long run.
An online store does demand you to invest time and efforts same as a retail store.
You might not need to mess with physical inventory but you can't just sit there and copy the content of other sites either. Small changes in product descriptions, the product names etc can make a big difference.

    Good luck

If you avoid adding new items, how the heck do you keep your shop up with fresh content? The stuff you are selling must have an inch of dust on already.
New products offered is what makes people coming back and to check your site. If I visit a store that's not offering anything new, then I leave the site and never return because it will look to me like the store owner is not seriously interested in doing a good business.
