Any Ruby On Rails programmers on DP?

    Hi all,

    just wanted to see if anyone on DP is into RoR.

    I have been going through a lot of tutorials and stuff from the past week or so and am pretty impressed.

    I am planning to code a webapp on the lines of www.goodandbad.eu and have been considering PHP all the while.

    But now i am thinking of using Ruby on Rails for this project and I want to know the pros/cons of using RoR for this project over PHP.

    So please provide some advice.

    i think the cons for rails is probably the 'grasp of knowledge' it takes to get proficient. but if you know php it should be easier for you as for me. heck, when i started last year, i didnt even know html/css and i still dont!

    But I use it in a soft called rmpx.

    the only down side to rails is the lack of supporting hosts. there's a few but not a lot. i've done quite a bit of ruby but still have yet to find the time to play with ruby on rails :(
