Make sure you enable the Sentinal Security so that no one can hack your account :) . Although, after taking loads of e-gold what are you going to do? You might try to use moneybookers, you can transfer money to your bank then. With e-gold you need to exchange and its always risky to exchange e-gold in the market as there are no chargeback option available for e-gold :)

Well, all e-gold transaction are irreversible which means that if you receive the payment, there is no way the buyer can ever get his money back. So of course there is no risk to you unless you are the one sending the money.

The only thing is cashing out your e-gold which may be a bit difficult.

You are pretty safe as long as you set your egold security settings to high, so everytime you access your account you are required to enter a PIN number sent to your email. Double the protection of your account.

If your computer security is good, it's absolutely no risk to receive such payments. We've received hundreds times more even at one-two payments, and our account was never blocked.

The only thing, I'd like to advice - make sure that your account info is correct. If your info is fake, that can result in account blocking.

Cashing out e-gold is easy, because there are many exchangers working with it, for example our service.

Well, all of you have just considered about his a/c security but what about the fund coming to his a/c !!! If the fund coming to his a/c has problem or is of some hacked e-gold, his a/c will be freezed or blocked. You can get back your fund out from the blocked a/c but not from the freezed one. So be careful. Just inquire with your buyer about the source of his fund & if possible ask him to show you the screen shot of his e-gold history.

There is no problem in it. Just have a second account and transfer to this if you think it could come from "hacked" account. Then they will possibly block the first account (if the accountholder of the hacked account complaints) but not the second one you transfered to so no problem at all.

No e-gold account holder would tell you the source because it is not the same like with PP or MB where you can fund an account with CC. E-gold is irreversible as you said so there is no problem at all.
