Chose webhostingpad after reading several reviews and its ranking in top 10 in all review sites. Now that am getting horrible support and downtimes, have come to realize that the Top 10 best web hosts list is a scam and the reviews on such sites are also fake. Wish to move to a better host. Any info on a reliable reviews site? Thinking of moving to Inmotion hosting, BBB certified A+, only thing bothering me is all the fake awards logos they have put on their site.
I recommend you WSWD.net - you maybe didn't find them on TOP 10 RANKS on Paid REVIEW Sites or Not on Google Page One because of SEO manipulation but they are better than all those websites that for sure.
You recommend them because that's your company. Advertising is not allowed outside the advertising forum. Webogre, I know nothing personally of Inmotion, however, your best bet is going to be to avoid "unlimited" hosts. "Unlimited" is a marketing scam, because it simply doesn't exist. What you're going to find with "unlimited" hosts is generally heavily oversold/overcrowded servers. Come up with realistic disk space and bandwidth requirements for your site and go from there.
Do not go to the sites that say top 10 hosting or anything of the likes because those are affiliate sites and for them the best host will be the one that pays them the most for passing you on to them.
I started using godaddy this year and I haven't had any problems with it. If you ask a question the longest they have taken is 12 hours, you can even get solo wordpress hosting for cheaper. I also tried out hostgator wasn't impressed by it so I stayed with godaddy.
I always Google 'Sitename webhostingstuff' which will bring up reviews on Web Hosting Stuff of the chosen hosting provider. WHS reviews are legitimate.
Unfortunately, there is no such a reliable reviews site. All of them are doing their own business with making fake and paid reviews. The best thing is try the each web host with yourself with short term contracts and decide yourself which host suits for you.
If you want excellent quality for large sites with tens of thousands of visitors: - site5 - hostgator If your sites are averages: - cddhosting - cheaphostingok Depends on your site needs, what resources you need for your sites.
There is no reliable review site that exist as far as I know. All of it is paid, A mumbo jumbo just do a research on forums and what users said and don't rely on reviews
There are so many that you can use. But it depends on what you need and what you want to use. See the features and make decision regarding that.
No. Most hosting "review" sites are nothing more than affiliate sites trying to sell the hosting that pays them the most. There is nothing wrong with affiliates, but you should question the motives. If you want a genuine recommendation of a good web host, ask an experienced webmaster which web host he or she uses. Learning from the experience of others is going to save you a lot of time and headaches. An experienced webmaster has been where you are and you can learn much from them.
Dont rely on review sites as the feedbacks can be confusing and really based on individual experience not to mention those promoting a particular webhost. Take Hostgator for example, they are basically good reliable webhost but at times, can be below par. There are people who liked their services and those who dont. You have to evaluate your shortlisted webhosts one by one. Bluehost and JustHost are also favored by many so are iPage and Godaddy among others. I just start hosting with three different webhost at a time with just one site each to take advantage of their 30days trial period to have hands-on experience. This way, I can know for sure how their respective services and performance are. Also, it's important to know what kind of sites you have and what kind of server specifications. For example. some newer sites work well with the latest version of PHP 5.3+ while most older sites still need the php 5.2+ version to run properly. For me, I have two hosting accounts running different versions of PHP to cater for my sites' needs. And finally, don't just jump on any cheap offers with those "unlimited" this and that unless you dont really valued your own sites and your purpose online. Good luck and best wishes!
Head over to webhostingtalk.com where I used to frequent before. This is a place where you will find really feedbacks of users of a particular webhost. You can also browse the various sections and ask questions. I believe this is the place where you will learn quite a lot and perhaps the right place you will find the answers you are looking for. However, always keep an opened mind and know exactly what you need for webhosting rather than just commit on something that's cheap but not suitable or too good for your needs which you will be just paying for something you may under-utilized. Good Luck!
Nearly the majority if not all are companies paying to be listed in the top 10, as mentioned above go to a place like http://webhostingtalk.com where you can see real users posting reviews
Hostsearch.com is also considered as a reliable review site, though as it said forums are the best way to get an image of the company.
