Any reliable free blogging service, other than Wordpress.com and blogspot.com?

    Should be a one with a subdomain name (so no myspace, please :) ). Reliability is a must, as for the features, the site doesn't need to have *that* many features.. ;) (well, ok, one is necessary: RSS :p)

    Well I sort of like mindsay.com because they are relatively user friendly with a good features and it is easy to open up a free account. The whole process just takes a few minuted before you can start blogging.

    you want reliability ? don't say that on blogspot and wordpress.com. If you don't want to use them, create free subdomain from afraid.org (or maybe you want to buy one out there), host it somewhere (maybe on free host), install wp by yourself or using available fantastico/automated install script. If you're worry about server reliability, do routine backup.

    When the server is down, you can easily change to blogspot, change dns setting of your domain, import the backup. Just make sure you're using the same permalink scheme as blogspot. And finally after all process is finished, enter your domain at Publish Setting.

    @ayahhelmy: LOL :p Well, I can't prove that one, but I suppose BlogSpot has about 99.8%+ uptime.. I rarely see any maintenance there, and outages are probably unknown.. as for wordpress.com I guess they are a bit worse (since they're not google :p) but still they do seem reliable..
    And as far as this crazy 'let's-change-dns-plan' is concerned, all my registrars till now didn't give me such an option, to make immediate changes to the dns ;p
    @all, once again;) please provide me with some tips concerning reliable free hosted blogging services

    LiveJournal was always good to me when I was keeping a personal blog. They have RSS...and a number of other features. As far as making money though, I wouldn't go with them, but if you don't care about that, it's a great service.

    Thank you for your tip! Unfortunately, LiveJournal doesn't provide me with a subdomain.. but besides, it certainly does seem worth trying ;)

    Both WP and Blogger.com are great blogging platforms, why you are seeking others?

    @gsv13: thank you :)
    @himanuzo: I don't want to support Google (I think they are becoming the new monopolist, MS not anymore..), and wordpress.com's TOS prevent me from placing any ads there ;/
