I used many free keyword tools (as suggested br DP members) most of the time. But, just want to know if there are 'Keyword Research Services' by some 'Keyword Experts' that you; or someone you know, have success in using them. Thnx.
Most of the free ones and even the paid ones seem to give very simular results. Try customer research, this can sometimes be a bit of an eye opener ;-)
I use wordtracker for search demand, google for supply / competition for the keywords, and Google's adwords tool to find high PPC words. Words I find with high demand low competition I write as 'hook' pages, since they usually rank well quickly and get lots of traffic. If they have a high PPC or affiliate potential, then that's a bonus. I also write high PPC pages and ones with affiliate potential as well, since once the visitor is 'hooked' they usually go to one of these pages. If you would like me to do some research like this for you, then PM please.
I use wordtracker, but I find that it's spammed big time because it relies on meta tags to generate the keywords, particularly for highly competitive terms. If you're looking for more niche keywords that you may not have considered, check out keycompete.com. Type in the URL of a competitor who is really prevalent in the Adwords/PPC space and you'll probably find a bunch of words you've never considered.
I highly recommend: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal www.wordtracker.com http://inventory.overture.com - now is DOWN...
Best keyword research experience I got are with these two: KeywordsAnalyzer - desktop software Keyworddiscovery - Paid service
BigBrother, The important thing about keyword research is to answer the following questions: * How profitable is my niche? * Who are my competitors and can I beat them? * What are the right keywords to focus on to gain high ranking search engine positions? We don't usually stick to just 1 tool for our keyword research. The historical data of any single keyword research tool is NOT the most accurate by far. Therefore, we highly recommend that you use a COMBINATION of several tools and services (some mentioned above) and comparing against these different data sources.
I've used and am very happy with Kevin McNally's keyword finding services. His price is very reasonable - you can find more details here: http://www.keywordfriend.com/ Regards Helen
