I currently run a popular file hosting service,
since i changed the whole site(including the layout) the Ctr(Click through rate) has droped to 0.38%, this is only making me around 30$ a day, i belive if i increase the ctr to 1.5% or maybe more i could earn much more.
Could anybody recomend where i should place the adverts on the service,
heres a link to the website: Click here to visit it.
Any help will be very welcome.
Thanks for anyone who helps. as a reward i could give them a years worth of premium acount on uploadline.

I think you're against Google Adsense TOS (Terms Of Service), because you're hiding the "Ads by Google" link lowering your table height from 90 to 80.

After restoring your table to 90 ... maybe removing the blue bar above the ads you can increase your ctr.

How does your photo page look? I only see your main page. You can try putting a leaderboard at the top and a second one below the picture.

There have been whole books written on this so I don't know where to start.

Some experts agree that they should be in the top-left corner (otherwise know as "The Golden Triangle", because that is the first place peoples eyes go to when visiting each page.

I disagree, but this is because I aren't as much focused on CTR and more so on making the user's time on the site more enjoyable and attracting more visitors. I normally place ads at the top and bottom of the sites (above header and below footer).

The words on the page HAVE to be relevant to your target audiance, because although computers are getting more intelligent, they don't have AI, yet. And, as such, when they scan your page and count keywords they will select ads based on that to appear, so it is CRUCIAL that your meta-tags and actual text are targeted to your average audiance or they will see completely irrelivent ads and not click them.

    Alex.

My adverts are very targeted, thats the beuty of Revenuescience.com, if a user visits hostgator.com, leaves the site and visits My site, it will show hostgator ads.

I have read many books but im talking about my site here, i have put adverts in different places, and sucessfully reached, 0.87% ctr right now, hope to get it to 1.5% and recieve 100% a day.
