well, hopefully there is going to be an update in the near future (like November) =) Lif in Hong Kong is fine as ever. Keith
I guess it is stable and shall remain the same for certain period (a few months). Hope Google will be giving us a Xmas gift!
I think Matt Cutts has been quoted as saying the lates update won't propagate across the datacentres for another 1-2 months, so I'm not expecting to another one until the new year at the earliest.
Check all of the datcentres, it's probably the case that you're reading from a datacentre that hasn't been updated yet. http://livepr.raketforskning.com/
How can it be possible? It should occur in next update Are you sureyou got PR3 after the last 28th sep update?
None of my sites changed at all. I'd launched two new ones, and both should have gotten PR during an update easily, even if just a low ranking. Why would some be missed entirely if it finished? Sorry... just hear so many conflicting things about the PR updates that it's hard to really understand what's going on sometimes. I know it doesn't mean that much and all, but it still makes me happy to see it change.
If you launched something say somewhere in June/July, you should have got a PR, Jenn. Few sites that have launched after the 25th of July have got a PR IMO
I did for at least one of them. (end of July) So I don't get what happened there. During the previous update, I launched a simple directory right at the tail end of it, and amazingly it got picked up and tossed a PR2 right off the bat just from linking to it from 2 or 3 of my own sites. Just a bit disappointing, especially b/c I was expecting changes on some of the ones that had been live for a while.
When PR updates it doesn't use data from that very second, it uses a snapshot of the data from up to 8 before the date of the update. It's very likely that your site simply hadn't had any backlinks picked up at the time the snapshot was taken.
Thanks for explaining it. It's not a huge deal. Any other time everything's gotten picked up very quickly, so I assumed it would again for the newer ones. I'll just practice some patience and use the time to work on more backlinks.
You're right, it's not Spend more time worrying about your allinanchor:keyword query You'll get your PR (hopefully) at the next update which should be around new year it Google stick to the 3-monthly schedule they seem to be keeping at the moment.
