    I hope that my site will go up one notch in PR at the next update but I doubt it.

    The thing is PR4 can be obtained very easily with practically no backlinks.

    site is PR4 - I built it. Google lists 8 backlinks, 4 of which are from the site itself, the other 4 are from my sites and a friend site. No DMOZ or Yahoo Directory.

    so how come it's got PR4 and PR3 inner pages?

    I'm digressing abit here from the original thread but I think it's worth thinking about.

    Word clouds love em or hate em - i've purchased a few over the years - and a couple do show up as g backlinks - one is listed on first page (out of 23) which is quite bizare??? - see pic

    I wouldn't expect any weight from them tho ... there just fun lovin silly sites, worth a punt!

    Actually i'm gonna do a test i have a shiney (fairly) new site with zero BL - and i'll buy 50 links from word cloud sites ... i'll wait for 2 x g updates, then i'll post the findings ...

    2. serps position

    i'll be targeting a sector with "Results 1 - 10 of about 2,080,000"

    blade007: That site got some thick link juice from icebeat plus its possible that you've pimped it in some high PR site but the link got removed now.

    Overseas: Could you PM me the link cloud that got to page 1... for independent verification :D
