Any problems with international hosting?

    We're based in the UK and it's the UK customers that are our main focus. Ive been looking at hostgator and wondered if hosting on US servers would cause me any issues or if Im better staying with a UK host?

    This is not necessary for UK clients - u need definitely UK server. USA server also good!

    No issue at all.

    Only dealy a few milisecond if UK visitor visit US hosted site.

    Would it make any difference to rankings if its listed on US hosting, ie google will think its a US site?
