I am a member of PCUSA (Presbyterian Church USA), I am wondering if there are any other Presbyterians on DP.

If you are state your denomination and your country or state/province.

I was Baptised Presbyterian. So I suppose I could claim to be Presbyterian, but I don't go to Church and have no idea about the denomination. I see from their role call over the years some of their minsters have the same surname as my Great Grandmother and also my Grandfathers sisters husband though.

My Mum's Mum (My Grandmother) was a Presbyterian from Northern Ireland and my Mum's parents we're married in the Presbyterian Church in Bushmills in Antrim Northern Ireland.

The Presbyterian Church in Bushmills of today looks very new so would not have been the same Church as the one my Grandparents married in.

The history goes back to 1646 and from all accounts the Church has moved or changed venues on at least two if not more occasions during it's existence.

It certainly is a legacy, though a somewhat strange legacy.

My Great Grand Mother's husband Robert J Laverty (Flaherty) was a Catholic and lived in Canada and the Americas for over 34 years due to being married to a Protestant/Presbyterian and the partition of Ireland and the subesequent civil war between what became Fina Faile and Fina Gael in the Catholic south and the difficulties involved with such things.

To complicate things further my fathers side is descended from Manasseh son of Joseph and Asenath as mentioned in various books of a religious nature.

I was raised Catholic but bailed on that hard once I realized how far its swayed from the Bible and has adopted more philosophical means to conduct "business" daily. And with that said, I've since switched to Scientology because seriously nothing is better than it... I mean c'mon, all the stars must know something about making billions of dollars and logically if you wanna make money you have to be a scientologist! Just look at L. Ron Hubbard, he wrote science FICTION for years and years and he thought "Hey, lets start a religion where I can make more money than I ever could from these BS novels I've written! I'll just make up a BS religion and make billions!". And he did. Mind you he died. And If you've read this far you know I'm not a Scientologist at all :D

You sure kidsko? Sounds like you are tempted LOL.

I don't know all these religions promising riches if you follow their way - and yet many in each of them do, darn they must all be the one true church.
