The final beta came out right? I don't think anyone knows for sure. But maybe some guesses from people that have been with vB for a long time?

Its in RC stages right now, RC2 to be exact.

I'd estimate 1 maybe 2 months more at the most.

There is going to be a while before the stable version of 3.7 is introduced.

It'll be awhile unless they sure all bug's and stuff is worked out. Vbulletin won't release a unstable final version. The RC2 version is great since bug's i noticed got fixed. Anyone with version 3.6.9 should not upgrade till final version is out. Once you upgrade, there is no going back to old version.

Also some mod's may not work in the 3.7 version and who the heck knows when the coder's will update all there mod's and templates.

More than the mods, its the templates I am worried about.

The template designers have there work cut out for themselves if they have a lot of templates. Lot's of folks would be waiting on them to update it so they can upgrade.

Majority of the paid templates would be converted, but I don't think it would happen with majority of the free templates. Sadly I might have to dump the current template on my site (which I have modified quite a bit) and go with another paid/free one and modify it again :(

You should upgrade to the RC2 version which is the latest 3.7 as of right now. I just got home and haven't checked Vbulletin but i'm sure they didn't go final today. lol

vB update came out. Damn, that sucks.

This tells me that it will still be a while til final version realeased. I waited so long, I'm fed up. I wish I could whip them to make them work faster.

Install the latest RC release, help find bugs, report them, and that'll help them get the final release out quicker.

That or go on and whip them, then they will release 3.7 gold and tomorrow will be 3.7.1 and next week will be 3.7.1 PL1 followed by 3.7.2 three days later, and so on and so forth...

    ;)

and in that note it says,
The quantity and severity of bugs being reported in the vBulletin 3.7.0 release candidates has recently decreased fairly dramatically so the time is right to do a further release. I believe that this could well be our final release candidate before declaring the code stable and moving to a 'gold' version.

so maybe the wait will not be all that long :D

Neah, I have a feeling there will be an RC 4 before the final release. In any case, it is best if they workout all the kinks before releasing the gold version, because it would really piss off people if they have to upgrade again in a week or two because few bugs got through.
