Just started working on my first blog, I just sent an application to Adsense, waiting to get approved. My first goal is to earn $1 per day, and slowely increasing. Please look at my blog below, I just started typing it, and I need some feedback and suggestions, and maybe some people can post. adsense-googled.blogspot.com/
To be honest, it's really boring. The layout design is plain - it doesn't really liven up...if you get what I mean. For a start, it needs to be grammatically correct in order to appeal to an audience. In your header bar, it should be make money ''off'' adsense - instead of ''of'' But good start - I suppose you should introduce in more simpler terms what the links are.
I don't care much about the layout . The content is where you should concentrate more . Compare yours with mine . http://forums.1up.in/viewforum.php?f=11
Well you need to detail up ... Tell people what directories are before you start the topic ... this would increase the amount of content . many people are new and don't about dmoz or anything like that .
I thought about that, but most people are well aware of information on stuff like that, etc. how to get an adense account
And beside the advices that were already given, try to choose another name for the blog http://adsensetipsuncovered.blogspot.com/index.html You also have a blogspot termination and this is outrageously long; I won t remember your blog name. If you try for something shorter you may have more chances. The links that are displayed on your page are not working, when i click them i should be directed to the page; it is too much work for me to copy paste the url. Good luck.
Why do so many people try to start out making a site about something to do with webmasters... talk about your tough industries. I mean seriously you are competing with the best and the brightest webmasters, SEOs, internet marketers in the world - people with literally 10+ years experience that do this for a living, and you can't afford an actual domain name. So it's not an issue of potential the bigger question is if you are asking people here on DP "if you think it has potential" you sort of have your answer. But hey best of luck - hopefully you will be different from the 1000's of other wannabe an expert webmaster starting a site on AdSense, SEO or Internet Marketing with less than 1 year experience in the industry. My advice - scrap the AdSense blog now and move into something else you are passionate about and blog on that - you will find a lot more success. You are far more likely to do well competing for SERPs against a florist (for example) than you are against full time webmasters that like I said have literally years and years of experience over you. Well I know who I'd like to compete against in an SEO competition.
Thanks for your comment Burta. Yesterday I decided to try to get into adsense, though I tried 1 year ago and made not much. I'm only 15 years old, but my girlfriends parent's make over $1.2k per day from there sites, they have a bit over 250 sites running, and I wanted to give this a try. Do you have any suggestions on what I should type my next blog on? And pertaining to this phrase: you can't afford an actual domain name. -- I just started and wanted to see how everything is, from what my family background comes from, I can afford 10 of a domain each day with my lunch money.
OK first thing is first - if I were you I'd edit my age out of my post considering you need to be 18 to qualify for AdSense, especially seeing you have already posted you URL it is rather easy for Google to put two and two together an ban your account. Well if it was me I would be juicing your GF's parents for all the good information/links/help I could before you and your girlfriend have a falling out like all young, sweet and innocent high school relationships tend to do. LOL I'm not relationship expert, but from a business sense I'd be hanging onto your GF for awhile - this game takes awhile to work out - I hope you like her! Something that you like or enjoy or are passionate about. I dunno about you but when I was in school I had favourite TV shows, bands etc those are always good topics to start on - just remember to think small. By that I mean say you want to make a blog about music - personally I would narrow it down to your favourite band - to make a general music site is just way too broad and you will find you will get a lot more traction in SERPs sticking with a niche topic. Well then the first thing I suggest is taking mummy and daddy's money and buying a domain it's just good long term strategy. I mean talk to your GF's parents about it - they will give you some good advice. Just say "I'm thinking about making a site on yada yada topic - I really like the topic - do you guys have any suggestions about how to go about picking a domain for this topic." If they know there stuff they will probably advise you to keep it short and sweet with a major keyword in the domain and they will probably give some good advice. Oh and don't forget to mention how much you like their daughter...
The successful blogs are blogs that introduce something new to the people. The fact is, Adsense is played out, and everybody pretty much knows about it and how to profit from it. There's not much to teach about it. The trick is to find something that you actually can teach people about, and teach them about it. If you need help finding your niche, just shoot me a PM, and I can give you some help. I've been an internet marketer for over ten years, and I can tell you that Burta is right. You need to select the write niche/product to get any cash.

I was sure that only the payee name had to be over 18 years old, I saw some members here who are around me age. I'm not really the type of person that can go in directly with questions. My GF is a smart person, and she won't appreciate me depriving attention from her to a subject like this. I know that right now she is working on 11 sites, she should show them to me soon. And also..with been together for 15 months, so were not looking any time soon to break up. I just have a problem understanding on how I'm going to get people to stay on my blog, there are large sites built that talk about tv shows, bands, and how can I complete with that?
