    Hey!

I'm looking for a plugin that tracks the user's browsing history (like what page directed them to my site) for Wordpress.

If anyone knows a good one (if there are any) tell me please!

    Thanks in advance.

You can use Wassup, it's a real time visitor tracker plugin.

I think Google Analytics will provide you all the data you need, and much more!

Yes, Wassup is a great plugin as long as your site gets less then 2k visits a day,

If you get more of that you will need a bigger server or a stand alone database sever as wassup makes TONS data and also uses a lot of power from the server with high traffic.

This is just from my own personal experience and might not be for everyone.

But ya, Wsssup is a great plugin for live stats.

If you can wait , just use Google Analytics :)

I totally agree with you. I use both Wassup & Google Analytics. But Google Analytics does not show you the exact traffic info. If you cross check Wassup & Analytics data, you will see Analytics is showing almost of half of Wassup traffic. Again, in some cases search engine keywords would be totally different.

StatCounter may be a good solution, to get better result without bothering your server ;)

Wassup and google analytics are useful in their own way.. Wassup gives the traffic from crawlers and spider more accurately, analytics provides content overview and visitor details in a more concise manner.. But its better to use Aw stats since the details are exhaustive..

The only way to get true stats is to analyze your log files, however depending on the log file analyser you use, it will show different results.

So many people use google analytics these days it's starting to become the benchmark for traffic stats and figures.

i've been using statpress on my sites and have been very happy with it, the overview is great, usual hits/page views/spiders/feeds count, where visitors have come from, breakdown of O/S's and browsers etc
