Ok, I'm using free hosting because I'm broke . They are a great host, they are fast and everything, only problem is that they don't allow .htaccess files to be uploaded, even after opening a ticket they won't let me. Anyways, is there a different way to change the permalink structure without having to use .htaccess? I really don't want to change hosts, because fast, good free hosts are rare. Thanks.
Not that I'm aware of. Until you get good host which allows you to edit the htaccess file I think you're going to have to stick with the default permalink structure.
Although you state you dont want to change hosts i recommend doing that very thing. Theres tons out there and dirt cheap.
