Whilst I love 'world' football, cricket and Rugby if you twisted my arm I'd say the sport I enjoy watching most on TV is 'American' football. (Well, the NFL anyway, I can't stand that World League rubbish). I think it's a fabulous sport and tailor-made for TV - I need all the replays after the play so I can work out what happened. I can't wait for the new season and I'm looking forward to discussing the games on here. Anybody else? Has it caught on in India yet?
I didn't realize anyone outside of the U.S., Canada. and maybe parts of Europe cared about the NFL. The cost of the equipment required to play the game "properly" makes it a sport not available to much of the world, but I'd like to see that change. I'm glad you recognize the value of the instant replay in a game like American football. Although it can look like a chaotic mess at full speed, each play is highly-coordinated and every player has a specific assignment.
