I just started a computer help forum (yes how original). It's tough to get members to join and post. Get a lot of hits but not many signups. I think content is the key. Once you have that it goes better. I know this isn't the right category but if anyone is interested in moderating with me let me know. IT/tech forum
Yes, I just created one and I did that mainly for websites marketplace, anyone can join http://www.flippar.com
Yes, my forum is do-follow and have got no PR at the moment because I just changed the domain few days ago. It will be nice to see you there
Just as similar to the craze for having blogs, I see the latest euphoria of having a forum. I find building a forum lot tougher and a lot more time consuming. I have as of now preferred to become only member of such forums, rather than becoming an owner of one amongst them! Regards, RightMan
If you decide to go down the forum route, be prepared for every kind of spam going. And the moans from those that get banned for spamming. After the first couple of weeks you will have the biggest and best collection of porn links on the internet at your private disposal. Forums can be hard work and take a lot more work than a normal website, but I believe the rewards are greater. One of the reasons a lot of people start a forum then give up after a couple of months. Anyone saying they have do follow on links, god help you
