I used "leech" ftp for a while and liked it. Simple but effective. Can install it and run it from a memory stick too. Good for travel.

But then my host changed their cpanel setup and it stopped working. Suspect there is a security issue as I notice my latest hosts cpanel has some leech permissions options. Anyone know what the issues are-were?

I use WS_FTP. It's free and it's a very very simple ftp. Works well for transferring small files, fast and easy.

I use and just love Core FTP lite. I have been using this software for a couple of years now. It's very easy to understand and use, and it remains FREE to boot.

really. that's kinda cool. i might try that. i always like softwares that are made in this format. that way you don't always have to take your computer with u every where u go. (kinda problematic when u have a pc --> life myself).

you may use Web based ftp client too. With this site you can access any FTP account through a Web interface - no matter whether there is a firewall or not. You can use ftp4net for the complete administration of your homepage, downloading files or just making small changes. Its a total web based ftp solution.
