You pay $50 to purchase the Overview Package. Then you submit an application to see if you have what it takes (personality type, start-up capital, etc.) to be a joint venture partner. If you do, and you want to go forward, you're invited to pay the $2,995 (this is the product purchase; I can tell you more about the actual product if you want) and the $299/month fee (which covers the e-mail system, the ad tracking, the website, the 2x daily training calls, the live prospect conference calls, etc.). It's pricier than some other affiliate programs - no doubt about it. But the payout is $1,000 commission for every sale you make. Then those people, your customers, also have the option of becoming affiliates. You make $1,000 override off of every sale that they make. RE: duplication I seriously have so little to do besides advertising and driving traffic to my site that I've resorted to posting on Internet forums. =) RE: high conversion ratio I've gotten a ratio as high as 1 sale for every 26 leads (this is not typical; the typical conversion ratio is 1-2 sales for every 100 leads). A "lead" in this context is someone that's opted in to the system. I would like to take a minute to offer my two cents here. Please do your homework before you join the reverse funnel system! I was about to sign up for it and, by the grace of God, was stopped just in time. The man whose site I had logged into it under actually called me on the phone and said "don't do it". Seems he had been trying for a couple of months and was having very little success. I realize that many people are having tremendous success with the RFS and I am not here to bash it. I can only speak for what myself and people like me believe. First, I don't think the idea of a "totally automated" system can fly. Like I said a second ago, some people will spend quite a bit of money without ever speaking to someone. I will not. I have to have an actual person which whom I deal. Second, I really had to swallow hard to accept a guy lounging in a beach chair as the focal point of any campaign. Success comes with working hard at something until you have mastered it and can work smart. Last, I don't like the idea of having to pay $50 just to look at something. Once again, I'm only speaking for myself here. It's obvious by the tremendous amounts of "biz opp" websites I have found that many people are willing to jump right into something without even know what it is they're getting into. I did a ton of research and came to the realization the the RFS was promoting a very real and legitimate "product". It is a product that has real value backed by a company with an attractive compensation plan that has been around for 21 years. I really liked the product and did much more research. I came to find out that there are people that have been selling this for years, before the company even went online. Now some of those people are joining forces to create sales teams online. I stumbled onto a teams site that has impressed me since day one and continues to impress me. The cost of their splash pages.....$0. The website and everything about it are a collaberated effort of the individuals in the group. The cost to join their team....$0. The monthly cost to be in their team....$0. You still have to purchase the product, but there is no cost to join the team and use the tremendous resources they have available for you to use building your business. I am new to their team so I'm not going to waste your time with promises and guarantees that I know nothing of. I may just be lucky, but I am working on closing my third sale with the reverse funnel system. I have been in for just over two weeks. Yes I am very excited.
I joined RFS about three weeks ago and realized for many reasons this is definitely not for me. I ignored my gut for a while and advertised anyway and started to promote it. Well, it got to the point that I couldn't ignore my gut any longer and had to stop. I have since canceled my RFS subscription and plan on still promoting GRN on and offline. I love the membership and the biz op and want to share it. Only in a different way that suits my personality better. Now here is where my frustration comes in. My upline is strictly RFS all the way and that's ok for them but I know I will not be able to receive the proper training and support I need for the way I want to do things. So now I'm stuck. I have been waiting for days now for a reply back to an email I sent regarding this issue. My word of advice for anyone who is thinking about joining RFS is to make sure you are comfortable with the fact that the sales letter is misleading in many areas. If you feel ok with it and decide to join make sure you join under someone who is willing to train you properly.
That is exactly right, Barb. The upline is every bit as important, if not more important as the downline. I must admit that the more I research the RFS, the more comfortable I become with my desicion NOT to join in it. I instead join with a "team" of entrepreneurs that is promoting Global Resorts Network in a way that appeals to down to earth people like myself. I guess some people are attracted to guys sitting in lounge chairs and some are not. As far as people complaining about the $2995 membership fees, I guess I just don't understand that. Many people would be willing to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to start an offline business, but don't want to fork out any dough to start an online business. I guess personally, I wouldn't expect just a whole lot of anything without a little investment. For the record, though, as has been mentioned somewhere on this forum, you can join as an affiliate only for $100. You won't recieve the membership, but you'll still be able to sell them. Jeremy
With a bricks and mortar business, there's much more of a feeling that you're building up something. With online stuff, people are more risk-averse because there's so many fly-by-night things these days.
Yeah, Asian, you are right about that. If a offline deal fails, there's usually a way to get some of your money back. That's a good point. I guess the bad thing is that it would be easier to lose a lot more than it would cost to start an online business Jeremy
I would hope that the bad experience I am having with RFS is not typical but unfortunately I think this whole philosophy of taking PEOPLE out of the equation is back firing because there are people being sent through this system led to believe things that simply are not true then when they ask for help from the one who signed them up there's no one there! I am not saying this happens all of the time but as I have noticed it happens more often than anyone cares to admit. Fortunately I do have some marketing experience and am a determined person. I will do what it takes to overcome this obstacle. I feel sorry for the ones that come in being led to believe that all you need is an internet connection and an ability to check you email to be successful. We all know that if you do not know how to market your business you will fail. In my opinion that is where your upline suppose to come in. If you do this fully automated and take people totally out of the equation that just doesn't fly. Please do not think that I am implying that everyone operates this way but some do and the people who are affected by it are the ones my heart goes out to. I would posit that the Reverse Funnel System is 98% automated, not fully automated. 1% is answering the very occasional question so people know that there's a real person there. The other 1% is helping your team members get started. That's why I have a personal members area, in addition to my team's private training site and password-protected forum, and FREE traffic co-ops.

I totally agree with everyone. Reverse Funnel System is way overpried at 300 a month. Global Resorts Network though is an amazing product and amazing opportuity.
