Yes its worthy, i have been taking placing backlinks for 2 years and i and getting good result in organic listing as well i am getting some good traffic But you need is better provider.
Yes backlink from profile also valuable if the profile page is visible for public or google bot. But it take time to cache the profile page. You can do ping your profile page by using autopinger or pingates so that google cache the links soon.
I've never dealt with them, but be careful if you're planning on buying backlinks from anyone. Google doesn't like it, and they've created filters to see which sites are selling links. If you become associated with a link farm, Google will not be happy. Plus, many times paid backlinks are not relevant to your niche, so they don't really help your ranking anyways.
