Any one know how to change Domain registrar ?

Hello Every one...

I am running one site, and my domain name is registrar is blue host. I have recently change my web hosting account but my domain name is still there. I wanted to know any one have Idea how can I transfer my domain name from previous registrar to new registrar ?

First of all, you have to obtain EPP key also called Domain Authorization code from blue host. Once you get it, just put the domain transfer order where you wish to transfer your domain name. Make sure your domain is unlocked at your current registrar and not going to expire within a week or so. Thats it.

 

Thanks for your advice..I done so but My domain is new so I have to wait till 5-6 months, thanking you again.....

 

If the domain is brand new, you shouldn't have to wait that long to transfer out. The lock at the current registrar should be 60 days or less.

 

hey...I have tried for searching EPP code, but not able to fine..will you please say, where it is ?

 

BlueHost has a pretty good knowledgebase article on this exact thing - check it out here. They also have a special link on that same article regarding transferring away.
