I thoughg only moderators were able to move threads, but I have seen many members saying that they moved their own by themselves.

Could someone tell me where is the link to do such a thingy please?

In this case, the thread isn't really "moved" because it's still here. The OP just created a new thread, then edited the original post with a link to the new thread. You have that within a certain amount of time because the "edit" button disables after so long. Not sure what that time limit is, though.

If a moderator had moved it, the entire thread would have moved to the new section, leaving no remnants.

You may be able to PM a mod and ask them to move a thread for you.

As a newbie, sometimes I'm confused about the correct placement of a thread and just past Friday I post one I would like to get moved... but now I now the way to go.

Thanks a lot for the clarification :)

Do NOT create new threads to "move" them. You'll get an infraction for duplicate threads. If you want it moved, use the report post button and have a moderator move it for you. We don't need more junk threads littering the place just to link to another thread.
