I am looking for a list or anything that helps with DP scammers, I have not been around the forums long and already got scammed so any one know what I should be looking for before I buy?
The person who scammed me is now banned, they were not banned when I bought from them!
I have opened a dispute with PayPal to get my money back. Bastards.

in my side, we made template for a client but he wants to have all the files first before he will send payment, because according to him, we will need to edit something then send it back to me, to edit again? i mean what's the use of that? he doesn't want to pay, but we all know know that in this field, payment must be done first before we send all the files for his/ her project..so i decided not to send the files, it's ok if my time was wasted, the thing is that i was not being fooled to send first the files to receive nothing, right? in your part, may it be a lesson to you, must select well trusted members/ designers. dont depend on the itraders, because sometimes it is just given by their friends here in dp somehow..like the one im talking about, he has 71 itraders i think...i really hate those scammers!

    The clues are here already.
Check the following before you deal with someone here:
    1. Their iTrader: The higher the value and percentage the better. If they've got any reds dig a little deeper. We have totally honest members here who have red iTraders because some selfish n00b (or EGS) has come along and given them one out of spite or stupidity.
    2. Their length of membership: Someone who has been here a year and kept out of trouble is a much safer bet than someone who has been here a week and no-one knows anything about.
    3. Their Reputation: Again, not a totally failsafe indicator, but the higher their reputation the better.
    4. Their username: Google is your friend - use it to search their username for skeletons in the closet.
    5. Shit floats: If they've scammed once they can't be trusted again.

I think the iTrader is the most easiest and fastest way.

Don't worry. Just learn from this experience. It's hard to create a list because if we know that someone here is a scammer, he/she gets banned.
Also, try to only deal with people that have good itraders.

I also look if the member is old or not.
Old members are good to do business.
