My friends had a same problem too, but it's worse, it's not detected at all. i'm just take the hardisk to my computer and connect it with usb - ide converter, i backup it all, and give the rest to hardisk service, hahaha...
Try this: start >> run chkdsk D: /R If that fails: http://icrontic.com/articles/advanced_data_recovery I think it can solve the problem
just try to access your d drive from the cmd..... or winrar.... if you find any virus (other files then your data) just delete them.........
There are several programs that can help recover data from failures or corrupt disks. Programs that makes data visible when windows OS arent. There's Pc Tools File Recover Norton ghost might also help you in a situation like this.
it was made in to a raw drive and is bassically had it its been sent away to get data removed gonna cost about $70
Try removing your HD and ad put it another computer as a slave and check if it sees it then just back it up there... and don't forget to format it after wards it may have something to do with your OS directory
