Windows is unable to detect your drive. Try the following and let me know

    1. Boot your computer and press F8 during bootup
    2. Choose Safe Mode
    3. Once Windows has started up, try to access the drive

If not resolved, do 1 and 2 above but this time choose "Last Configuration"

Open the 'Run' menu, type 'CMD' and do 'CHKDSK D:'

Post what you get from the screen.

is that a new hard drive? looks like there is no filesystem. You need to install either windows or linux.

If you have already used that drive and files in it try to install AVG antivirus (free) and see if there is any virus infection.

Reboot your computer and go into setup. It's usually F8 but may differ depending on which BIOS you have. Once you are in setup, look under the hard drive section to see if the BIOS sees the 2nd drive. If it does not, the drive may be bad or the controller on the motherboard. Try removing the 2nd hard drive and then reinstalling it. Now see if windows can see it.
