David Ogilvy was an old school advertising executive. He wrote book like "Ogilvy on Advertising" and "Confessions of an Advertising Man" I'm a big fan of him because he takes an almost scientific look at what makes a product sells. He's obsessed with the effectiveness of his advertising and doesn't care if it looks pretty or is 'creative.'
