Any one buy and resell cars for profit as a side job?

I was thinking about buying and selling cars for a side job to make a little extra money.

Just curious if anyone on here was familiar with this, and could give me some tips.

Do you need you a permit or license to do this? etc...

 

my dad does this. If you are planning on owning a lot to sell cars you will need a lot of licenses.

business
tax
consumer affairs
and so on

if your selling the car out of your house...no licenses, all you need is a phone to call up the dmv to change the registration to the new owner when you sell the car.

 

Looking up at shotse's post it seems quite stressful maybe their is something else you might want to do.

 

I plan on doing this from my house, so I can do all the registration changes from phone calls alone?

 

My cousin does that as a side business. He does not need any permits when doing this business.

 

Buying cars is not a real asset if compared to buying properties...
