Most online businesses are self-run or run from home - large corporate ones with their own address are usually already listed in the phone books!

What does your site have to offer since it's rejecting businesses etc without physical addresses dedicated to it?
That's what I want to know!

Very nice mod Rob. I have been playing around with some different searches. Thanks for showing it to me.

It basically allows you to search the directory with a keyword for businesses in proximity to a zip code. For example if you wanted to find a real estate office near a certain zip code you put in a keyword real estate and the zip code your interested in and it will return all real estate listings within a radius which the searcher specifies. Plus you can choose to return the results in order of distance.

It really simplifies the search process for visitors and saves them time when they are looking for a local business. Plus the results return plotted out on a map so you can easily find the location.

To think that directories are only needed for the purpose of listing businesses which have no physical location is missing the mark. Directories are for any business with an internet presence. Most of them actually do have an address which they would like possible clients to know and this mod goes a long way towards making it easier for clients to find you.

Just like you said Rob it goes way beyond just showing a map on the details pages and allows visitors much more customized searches to quickly find the resources they need.

 

It’s a great Mod and very useful, now for the UK version.

I don't mind directories that ask for all of that information. Most legitimate, successful businesses have a mailing address and some type of office. I know all of our clients do, small or large.
