I need one. I will take references for lawyers who have been used by members of DP as well. PM me please. thanks much, Nigel
It's really going to depend on why you need an attorney. If you are wanting to trademark something, there are a lot to choose from. If you are involved in a domain dispute, John Berryhill and Ari Goldberger are considered two of the industry best. If this is a trademark issue that is going to involve a lawsuit, you would want someone who can practice in the State where the suit will be heard.
1. Yep, need to trademark something regardless 2. No dispute yet but I am about to start one lol... 3. Thanks for the recommendations 4. Err.. its web based really so I don't quite get how to determine that...eg: my state or domain prospectors state. To my dismay, I learned today that there is a very fine line between a domain broker and an ambulance chasing scumbag. thanks for your input M. Nigel
I would give Berryhill a call - he is somewhat a legend amongst IP attorneys. He can likely give you a quick list of options and give you a referral if he can't help you. Trademark disputes are very, very expense. You will spend six figures to get through a court case - but don't waste your time and money with anyone who doesn't have a lot of experience with domain disputes.
