I'm a sucker for eprodutcs, home based-biz and others online opps. I've already spent well over $3,000 and haven't even make a dime yet..

Just curious, any amateur marketers here wasting more money than they make?

Share your story, the good, the bad and the ugly :D

What stuff did you buy? Care to share what you learned? There are some products released by the so called "gurus" are actually pure b.s. But some interesting ppl like Frank Kern and Jeff Walker have pretty good stuff.

Except from hosting, i dont spend much money on marketing - but i put in a lot of hours (and time is money). At the end of the day i make much more than i spend, but the time rate is probably low.

I dont spend a single cent on marketing. However, I have spent a lot of time on writing and link building. In term of sales, it's not at the level to consider it as full time job.

What did you spend the $3.000 on?
When spending such an amount wisely you should have some returns..

I have this very simple rule: "Never lose money online" :)
Sure, sometimes things don't work out but don't put your eggs in a single basket and you will be fine.

I only spend about 20-30% of profit on marketing(hosting, outsourcing, software tools) depending on the month.

I think we all have to spend money in order to make money. YET, do not misunderstand me... I am not telling you to go spend money on products that promise to make you rich, no no no. I am saying you have to invest in promoting whatever it is that you have in order to make money. Promotion is important in order to succeed.

In the beginning everyone will probably spend a little more than they make, but I believe that if you work hard enough you can definitely turn that around. I sure have. And to answer the question YES I make more than I spend. But interestingly enough I have noticed that the days I spend most on marketing I make the most sales.

I alwasy earn more than I spend.

I invest $10 in a domain, and make $22 per sale. As soon as I make my first sale, I kyss my website good-bye and let it make more money for me. No matter what happens to it, I already know that I've regained my investment.

I used to be a HUGE sucker for buying program after program. Eventually I made myself concentrate on one of the better programs. I did everything I could to take away temptation. I unsubscribed from a ton of lists and deleted a load of bookmarks. I even found a small application online that blocks any site you tell it to until you turn it off. I found that I was able to get a ton more work done which resulted in me making money!

After seeing the success I had by just knuckling down I have never looked back!

    Hi Reapr,

I can agree with you. For me, outsourcing has really been a cost effective way to get through your business needs. I can say I'm spending little tough on PPC but still, as I outsource my other tasks such as programming, admin, marketing and promotions, automating them all makes me profit more than I am paying for my ads.

Also, I'm keeping my resource in good hands because it has really been helping me a lot teaching these strategies to outsource and leverage my profits. Been revisiting the videos over and over and still find them useful! Check it out at www.massoutsource.com and send me your quick feedback so I'll know. :)
