I make about 30 bucks a day off one of my sites which is just one page. I advertise it with ppc on microsoft adcenter. Its a great niche though - believe me I've tried a bunch. I have other one page sites that make 10 bucks a day or so each. Its tough to find profitable ones though, especially when you rely on using ppc to get traffic.
What does the number of posts have to do with his/her knowledge of adsense? Did it ever occur to you that they're new to the forum but not new to adsense? I don't know the guy (or gal) but they could possibly teach you a thing or two about adsense. In other words: Don't judge people by the number of posts they have. They just might be another Shoemoney, Mia, Will Spenser, Jackburton, etc of this forum.
You can get all the things you want HERE or anywhere on the net, just search, no use of ebooks, and well, like said, 99% of them were proven crap, just for a quick money
That's amazing How old is the site? I find to get a good SE placement on a site with very little activity the site either has to be on a very non-competitive topic or has been around for a long time indeed.. Back to the OPs question though.. The most success I've had from sites without much content are sites with fantastic domain names that I haven't yet developed past the point of about 5 'basic intro' pages on the topic. Most of the traffic comes from people guessing/testing the domain in their browsers. The CTR of these sites is amazing because visitors are eager to 'dig deeper' to find what they're after.
I guess that even in large sites, a few of the pages can generate most of the revenue. (well, I don't have much revenue, but click-wise, 3 of my site's 40 odd pages yield 30% of all the clicks, i.e., not evenly distributed).
