Any large news papers (online) that will accept paid articles?

I was wondering if there any large news papers (online) that will accept paid articles?
Like the way to mention about your site on some popular news sites

 

Hi deriklogov, I don't know of any large (and reputable) online media outlets that will accept paid articles. However, I can offer some insight given my experience in the realm of PR. You could draft and distribute a press release that promotes your website, and hope for publication - if you're a relatively unknown site, it's a shot in the dark. What I've had good success with is:

a) contacting journalists directly to discuss the newsworthiness of your site
b) sending your article directly to editors to consider for publication as a guest writer/columnist

If you can write an article that carries editorial value (rather than just being a rolling advertisement) chances are you'll find a high-profile publication willing to run it. Best of luck!

 

Did you do that for yourself or as the service (contacting and finding journalists) ?

 

It's one service I provide for my PR clients, but it's very easy to do yourself. Just find publications you want your article to be published in and find journalists/editors who write about your field. Then, shoot them an email (along with your article) asking for consideration.
