any know free myspace script or atleast tell me how to install this..

has a free myspace resource script but the instructions are like a 13 year old wrote them! im grateful for things like this being free but man i can't even figure out how to install it correctly. if you visit www.myspacedrug.com which is my site can anyone tell me what my problem is? you might want to download the script and read the install and see what i mean..

also, i think this is a turnkey like a full site just setup. i paid for a design to be made so i don't need the full site, you think could strip this down just for the script?

 

Turnkey site still requires you to make some changes in order for it to work on your site.

From your error, you get the wrong root address.

I doubt your username is space?
Open up index.php with a notepad or online file manager whichever one you use.
Line 2 of index.php is
include("/home/space/public_html/_header.php");

You need to take "space" out and replace it with your username.
That should fix your site up.

Though there are more changes needed for that site to fully work.

I can go install it and see where needs to be changed if you want.
If you have design, you'd want to the design to work with this script. For every features of that script to work, you'd have to keep all the files (unless you don't need certain features)
Normally people change design to fit the script Or code the design so it can be used on the site

 

yeah my friend just showed me how to fix the problem. but im about to pay 60$ for a design if the guy ever msg's me back...so how much would you charge to go in and fix some litlte things and if its possible could you look at the design and see if its compatible or make it compatiable? thanks looking forward to your response

 

Hmm, I am not a designer so I can't help on on the designing part. However, any design can be coded to fit a script, but sorry can't help you on those as I am not really into design LOL

I will go install it on my site, if it works out without problem, I can help your fix yours. No, I wouldn't charge for that. ^^ If the instruction is correct, then there shouldn't be any problems. Anyways I will go install it on my site

Hmm, it seems like it might be easier for you to do it on your own. You have to reupload the whole script because there are just too many files to manually edit one by one.

Here is what you have to do if you don't have Dreamweaver.
Open the "MySpaceScript" folder, and you should find search_setup.exe in there
Double click on search_setup.exe and install that program. It is a program that can search and replace certain words in instant.

After you installed the program, start that program.
And you should see a screen like below (disregard the url in "Path to search"):

Now click on the little folder icon besides "Start" button, and locate your "MySpaceScript" folder.

Now, there are about 3 changes needed to be made.
First:
In the box next to "Find what text", put in /home/space/public_html/
Then in box next to "Replace with", put in /home/you cpanel username here/public_html/
(I believe your username is myspacedrug, if so you should put /home/myspacedrug/public_html/ in the box next to "Replace with")
Now click on "Start" and it will start replacing the words. After it is done, you will see a list of results. Oh and you will receive a warning telling you that you don't have a backup. Don't worry about that warning.

Second:
In the box next to "Find what text", put in www.yourspacecodes.com/layouts
Then in the box next to "Replace with", put in your domain name
In your case, you should put in www.myspacedrug.com
Then click on Start.

Third:
Put yourspacecodes.com in the "Find what text"
Then put myspacedrug.com in "Replace with"
Then click on Start.

That will fix the errors that you see.

Though you still have a few more things to change to make it fully functional.
Open Contact/feedback.php, look for $mailto = 'parabeats@gmail.com' ;
Then change that email address to your own email address.

Then open the following files, and replace the AdSense with your own AdSense ID

ads1.php
ads2.php
inc/ads1.php
inc/ads2.php

Now your site should be running. For the layouts, you will have a coder or a designer to do it.

Also, it seems to be missing one folder because mine has some image didn't show up and the image URL pointed to a folder that isn't in the script.
