Hi guys, I am doing withdrawals with moenbyookers for more than 2 years and I haven't had any problem with them but starting from Jan. 2010 some intermediary banks started imposing $15 per transaction after withdrawing. I have tried it 2 times and both times I got less $15 from the original amount I transferred from Moneybookers. I have asked MB support about it and got this reply:- Thank you for contacting our Customer Service Team. We would like to kindly inform you that we advised with our Payments department and would like to confirm that we processed the exact amount as requested by you with a flat fee of 1.80EUR. Please note that these are international payments and most probably your next withdraws should be charged as well. As previously stated, Moneybookers has no control over these fees and thus we would not be able to advise you further or give you any additional information about that issue. If you have further questions or need assistance do not hesitate to contact us again. Best regards, I am wondering if I am the only 1 or anyother guys here are also being charged?? I have set my currency to USD at Moneybookers and transferring funds to my SBI account. Any information will be appreciated. thanks in advance.
I have transferred like more than 5 times now ..Am using HDFC BANK they charged me 90 rupees . which one did you use ?
First of all as I am not talking about Indian banks. They don't charge much and I don't care for pennies. I am asking for INTERMEDIARY international banks which are used to process funds to our local bank. And as you said u did it more than 5 times did u transferred after Dec. 2009? They imposed these charges since January 2010.
Well i really dont know about " INTERMEDIARY international banks " But yes i have withdrawn money after Dec 2009 with just 90 INR as fees .
dhpd this happens with every wire transfer. Its one of the main disadvantages of wire transfer. You can never tell with 100% certainty what amount the recipient will receive after all bank fees have been deducted. The intermediary banks you are talking about are also know as correspondent banks. There is no way to avoid them or ascertain beforehand what their fees are. I can give you an example from my own experience. I received some money from the same ad company to the same bank account in Pakistan on two separate occasions. The first time I got the entire amount. The second time a correspondent bank deducted $25. So as pointed out before you can never say for sure what amount you are going to receive.
well here I m not talking about any affiliate company sending wire transfer.. I am talking about UK's big payment processing company Moeybookers. I am with them from past more than two years and didn't ever got charged any single Cent (expect their reasonable Euro 1.80 per transaction fee) but starting from Jan. 2010 some ass hole banks started imposing charges. it happened me consecutively 2 times since Jan 2010. So now I have planned to withdraw funds in 2 months so I can save some money.. It seems here on DP no one uses Moneybookers for a long period so I didn't still got any satisfactory reply yet.
well it seems since your account it in INR so they are not imposing any charges as they are already sucking your money in exchange rates lol..
What are you retarded? Wire transfers are made via the swift system which is a messaging standard agreed upon by a consortium of banks. That is how all wire transfers work. Even moneybookers uses that very same system. Did they not ask for your bank's swift code aka BIC?
calm down. Yes they ask for BIC code but what you want to say?? I never replied you on BIC or Swift code instead I told you the fact and now you have no idea of what you are talking about.
