I just took a quick peek, I didn't see much content on the website. Unfortunately you willh ave to take the time to input some of the events that are taking place in the area before others see the value in it. I would start by maybe looking at some of the most popular events, including popular music bands and input their events. You also might try contacting radio stations and seeing what types of events they are doing and ask them if they could send you some of their latest events so that you could put it on your website for them.
Ok,thanks very much for the advice. I`ll do that when I get back from holiday. Is there potential for this site?
Of course, the content is what this site is all about. You maybe need to pound the pavement and go to the bars and places where events are taking place and get them to send you info on the events way in advance. Also contact the bands for their gig list. When this site gets going down the road, you could even generate some income by getting these places to pay a bit for advertising on your site. I like the design it's clean and simple.
As mentioned, the design of the site is attractive clean and simple. Good. The thing is, I own a network of travel sites - how do you plan on getting more content & events onto the site? The UK is a massive place, with hundreds of special events going on monthly. I just wonder if you would have done better going for a very specific niche like London, York, Cornwall (etc). The other thing, I would question the monetisation of the site - I could see just one adsense slot. I could not see any clear affiliate programs (for example booking engines for events/travel from which you could make a commission). More content, and more targeted ads and theres no reason why this will not work.
