I open a paid offer site yesterday, it pays people to complete offers, and surveys and all that. I advertised a lot, first day (yesterday) i got over 550 visitors, but only 1 signed up, and they are not active, any idea on how to get my website running better?
I would need to see your site to give you some proper advice. Make sure your welcome page looks good and your opt in box is clearly visable.

I looked at your site. Could just be my aging eyes, but larger text would be nice. Also, adding FAQs and even a forum would help gain trust. And I'm not a fan of the Google ads on the bottom of the page. It seems conflicting; you want me to sign up for your site, but then you have ads of your competitors. Maybe add them later on, when your site gets more popular.
Do you want the cold-hard truth? As a member of several GPT sites I have to tell you that, in all honesty, your site doesn't look very inviting. I would try some lighter colors and also you need to add much more content explaining how your site works. I would never sign-up with a GPT site without knowing a lot about it first. Also, try checking out some successful GPT sites like Deal Barbie Pays or My Flipper Cash. Look at their layouts and see how you could improve. And what advertising methods did you use so far? Because I would think you used paid advertising if you got that many hits already. I think you should hold off on that until you've improved your site and done some free advertising. -Danielle
You should put some testimonial from user that have earned $1000 from your site so that many people will start joining it.
Agreed, testimonials are very important.. but make sure they are legit and original..if possible, video or audio testi...
Actually, I have to disagree about the testimonials. I mean they might help a little but they could also hurt you. Personally I think testimonials look very spammy. I would rather see your site reviewed on another site that I trust, than on your own site. Testimonials can be faked too easily. Also, if it's for $1000 it makes it seem very unbelievable. -Danielle

Yes, I agree that you should first focus on redesigning your website and make it more attractive. You should make it enticing for visitors to want to complete these offers. Secondly, do a search engine search on 'Get Paid To' forum communities and join them to advertise your services. These are often good places to promote such sites.
