Any ideas? Position of articles in Ezinearticles dropped.

    Hi,

    I want to keep it short: I had an articles in ezinearticles that used to get listed for my desired keywords on the first page of search results.
    After 3 weeks, I see it dropped from first page of search results to THIRD.
    The reason is not competition, I know google lits 2 pages from 1 domain, but what is strange is that, there is not any other article from ezinearticles except mine that gets listed for that keywords.
    I would like to know the reason.. My keyword density was a little high: 1.75%-2%.

    Usually you only see one listing for one web page per search results; so I don't see what your issues is with only displaying one article. Also, it's not common for articles to get bumped up and down, especially if you don't build backlinks to them while other websites or web pages doing nothing but try to improve there ranking for that specific keyword.

    Depends on if it is a competitive niche. I've had it happen to me where I'm on the first page w/ EZA then it slides off to nowhere...other niches, it holds steady. I really think if other ppl put good material in the niche - making it more competitive.
