I setup everything to spec. My server is php enabled and my site is running php-fusion. I noticed somewhere that the validator checks the google site:domain.com for links to the site to see if ads are showing. Almost all of the first twenty or so links like this are to the "printable version" links of my blog entries. Anyone know how I can get those removed from Google? I am assuming this is preventing validation of my site since the printable version links all have nothing but the each blog entry's title and text. If so I was thinking there may be some way to prevent Google spidering them later by way of robots.txt. But getting rid of the links already in the Google database may be a whole different animal. Any ideas? isildur (dazed and confused)
You can use this from google: http://services.google.com:8882/urlconsole/controller?cmd=reload&lastcmd=login
Still cannot seem to make this validation work. I noticed the google links were all too my "printable" versions of my blog/articles, so I changed the header in that to show ads at the top of the page. I checked permissions, filenames, everything I can think of. Would someone mind pm'ing me for the address and looking at it? I will post the address here if it's ok'd by the powers that be. I didnt want to seem spammish. isildur
Ok, squash that whole thing. It worked. In the URL under account settings, I had www.mysite.com instead of www.mysite.com/index.html for the landing site. Doh! isildur
