Any Ideas for this new site?

That website looks fine with me. I would change two minor things though. Since you have tables around your text and ads I would make the poll table round as well instead of square and I would place a table around your newsletter subscription, Overall it looks nice , easy to navigate and to read.

 

Thanks Crazy, Yeah I'm working on the table around the top and the poll. My problem is with how much room the form takes up at the top. The poll is also too wide and makes the page scroll left right at 800 x 600 res.

Best looking site I've seen in a while

The only thing I'd change personally is i'd use darker blue as your link color. Currently the blue you use is a bit too bright for me.

 

I almost always find things about a site that can be better but I like your site the way it is. Nice graphics but not overdone. Very clean design. The AdSense is stategically placed but doesn't trick visitors. Nice content. I like your New Additions section on the home page. Very nice site.

 

Thanks very much for the input. The link colour is an interesting one. I've always heard that the untrained surfer likes the default dark blue link (with underline) the best. Maybe I'll change it to see what happens (one day)

One thing I really like is the layout. I LOVE the banner.. very well done. For the "sponsors" make sure to put in something, ya know

other than that, it's very nice.

 

I think you found a adsense ad which wasn't being served up...hence an empty box...

I have an Ad-Block on my FireFox browser. Forgot about that

And yeah, after disabling it.. I can see the ads now.

Anyway, keep up the good work!

 

Loved it. Only one thing to comment on - the top box has corners, but isn't complete.

Overall it's great - have booked marked it and sent link to a friend who is into water conservation.

 

unTangled ...thanks esp for the mail to your friend. the top frame thing is a bit of a niggle as I can't get the form to align vert centred and it's taking up too much room...but yes it's on my todo list.
