Any Idea why my site is taking time to start loading?

Hi, I have a small problem with my site!

My site (http://www.techhamlet.com) Seems to be loading fast when i check with GTmetrix and Pingdome.. But, in my side, it takes some time to start the loading process! I mean.. when i put the URL and hit enter.. In chrome, the rotating icon goes slowly for some time (This time period is slower than other sites) and then loads fast... Its like it takes time to resolve DNS.. (Im using Open DNS in my home PC)

Any one know whats happening? Any help?

    Thanks

Tentwenty is most likely right. But even so, your site took less than 3 seconds to load completely for me. How long has it been taking for you?

Have you already contacted your web hosting provider and ask what's going on with speed load?

Apart from your many graphics object plus things mentioned by tentwenty, I think your hosting has some issue. They may oversold the space and cause your websites to be slow loading.

Is everyone else actually experiencing the same problem? I am on yet another Internet connection today, and his site is blazing fast for me. That's 4 completely different Internet connections I have tested it on, and it's as fast as any other site. Let's not go blaming the hosting company here, without having any clue as to what is actually happening.

EAPubs, I see you are located in Sri Lanka. Your server is located at ThePlanet datacenter in Texas. I'm thinking that your location in relation to the server is probably the issue you are experiencing. It is going to take longer for you to connect to the website than it would if you were in, say, the US.

Ummmmm...like I mentioned, it is probably that you guys are thousands of miles away. The other site is blazing fast for me too. I have no idea why you guys insist on blaming the host, when the site is perfectly fast for us here in the US. It's not bad hosting at all.

Get a faster local internet connection, or move closer to the server which is hosting your site :)

Its took me 10s to fully load your website.

    I'm on 10Mbps Metro E line.

Just checked and you hosted at

    Retrieving DNS records for techhamlet.com...
    DNS servers
    ns2117.hostgator.com
    ns2118.hostgator.com

No wonder,HG server is too slow.

I would disagree. I'm pinging fine from London Ontario. Looking closer at your website it looks as though you've got a lot of optimization to do. I cant post links yet but here: webpagetest.org/result/110120_7C_R4M/

I just visited the website and found it has a fast loading time. Have you got problem solved? Or just switched into another hosting company?

You should contact with your host.

May be there is, bad web hosting, bad optimization and more issues in your website.
so better you should check the uptime speed and bandwidth of your website. or change the hosting provider who has great uptime and high bandwidth.
