I know it would be quite shocking for all of you to hear waht i am going tosak. I have a website (Indian cricketer) - http://www.bhajjiworld.com. I rank at 3 position in google with the KW Harbhajan singh. Two top positions above me are occupied by 1 is wikipedia 2 is cricinfo. I am trying to get my site on first position. I know its next to impossible what i am desiring. But still i would appreciate some smart suggestion.
I would suggest to get quality backlinks for strong source and you will achieve it if possible as Google recommends and gives preference more to wikipedia or .org or .edu domains first. So, wikipedia in maximum case will rank first.
kuldep, you are indeed third in my regional search. Question to you: why do you want to be first, if your current snippet will not bring you much visitors anyway. Your snippet: "index.gif", no title, no description. Check and fix it. On your question. You can try to fight WP with their own weapon: internal linking. Link from your textual content on all your pages to your main page with the anchor text "Harbhajan singh" and you will get a chance.
