Any idea how this 3D animation is done in Flash?

    Hello People... :)

The animation I'm referring to is at www.opuscdm.com

I like the way the animation happens on mouseover, with a cube turning effect and text on the resulting face.

Any idea how it is done? :)

It just looks like clever movement of boxes in key frames. They probably just changed the dimensions of the boxes in each frame and animated it. It would be easy enough to do with just those three boxes.

Did you read the topic at all? He didn't make it.. he's asking how it was made. It seems like you're just trying to get your post count up.

You are correct. That seems to be what's going on there. There are programs that convert 3d models to flash vectors and do some crazy stuff but this isn't that.

Yeah.. if you look at the middle box when it rotates downward you can see how the two squares don't meet up. The shrinking one is a little too narrow or something.

If you aren't doing too many of these 3D boxes then I would suggest doing it the way they did it.. but if you need to do a bunch.. I'd suggest finding a program that LuckieGW suggested.

It's done in flash. The box are flash vectors and are just shape tween together creating the 3d rotating effect. then the images (e.g. clock) was just tweened to stretch.

Try to search in google maybe they have some tutorials about it.

    good luck!

The ones in the example are actually a lame attempt at a 3D rotating cube, you should check papervison3D if you want some serious 3D in flash or even better with swift3D and then export to flash.

You can do it in any version of Flash, takes a lot of time to do it right and that example could've been done better. However it's easier in CS4

Keep trying and some day you will.. maybe.. have over a hundred posts. You didn't have to post here if you weren't interested. Perhaps you didn't like the animation that they've done on the site.

I'm not mad at you and sorry if I sounded rude. But, with posts like that, the admins. and mods. might shoo you away from the forums.
